Brittany Murphy`s Autopsy Completed, Cause of Death Still to Be Deferred
Authorities are moving quickly with the investigation to determine Brittany Murphy`s cause of death as autopsy on her body has been completed by Monday, December 21, just one day after her sudden passing. Though so, the L.A. County Coroners have confirmed that the cause of the actress` death is still to be deferred, "pending the rest of the other tests including toxicology, neuropathology [brain analysis], and histiopathology [analysis of other organs]."
Those tests, according to L.A. County Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter, will take four to six weeks to complete. In fact, Winter affirmed "no evidence of trauma to the body" of the screen beauty. Previously, it has also been confirmed by officials that "foul play is not suspected at this time because there were no outward signs of trauma or other injuries."
In related news, Murphy`s screenwriter husband Simon Monjack said his wife had laryngitis days leading to her weekend passing, adding that the 32 year-old actress had been tired due to acting commitment. Murphy`s mother Sharon had also affirmed her daughter had a history of diabetes.
In the meantime, Murphy`s family says there are no immediate plans for a funeral or memorial service.
